In a pile of letters received at Mar-a-Lago yesterday, among legal bills and special offers from ‘My Pillow’, one envelope caught former President Donald Trump’s eye. A letter of support from an Australian Senator.
It is believed that Trump ordered a number of super-comfy pillows from ‘My Pillow’ before tearing open the envelope and posting the letter of support, written by Senator Ralph Babet, on his Truth Social platform.
“I have always been a great admirer of the United States. But to see the deterioration in American over the past four years has been truly heart breaking,” wrote Babet.
“Watching the way the Biden Administration has brought the US into disrepute around the world through weak leadership, both at home and abroad, has been devastating for lovers of freedom everywhere.
“America is meant to be a beacon of freedom and, I have no doubt, will be again under your leadership.”
The Mauritian born Babet, who renounced his native citizenship in March 2022 just months before the federal election in Australia, is the only elected member from the fringe political group, United Australia Party.
The chairman of the party, businessman Clive Palmer, ran a candidate in every seat in last year’s Australian federal election and spent a reported $100,000,000 on the campaign, managing to get only a one single senator elected.
The party has now been deregistered and has ceased to exist.
A recent poll in Australia stated that out of a population of 26,487,382, only 26,487,381 don’t support Trump’s bid for the Presidency of the United States in 2024.
“With only 26,487,381 Aussies not supporting me, I know that the great majority of the country do support the wonderful Donald Trump for the next United States President,” said Trump in a statement dictated from the spare room in Mar-a-Lago, while resting his head on his new ‘My Pillow’ pillow.
