It may be out of boredom, sitting at home waiting for the FBI to call, or it may be out of frustration that a “one-in-a-lifetime” family holiday to our nation’s capital ended so badly, but Derrick Nathadal isn’t going to take January 6th lying down.
“You know, we were sold a lemon, and I just want to warn everybody out there,” said Derrick.
“Come to the Capital, they said. Take a tour of the halls of democracy, they said. It was nothing like that at all!”
So frustrated is Derrick, that he has gone online and posted a one-star review on Tripadvisor for the US Congress Tours.
The review reads as follows:
“Very disappointed. Not at all as described. Was told to bring bullet proof vest, bear spray and Trump flag. None of which were required. Was initially refused entry, which was frustrating. Found the usual methods of entry locked, so had to climb through a broken window. Once inside, it was crowded and confusing. TBH, nobody knew were to go, and our tour guide, who had earlier promised to be with us, was nowhere to be seen”.
Derrick claims all he wanted was a snow globe and one of those flattened penny thingos to commemorate his visit to the Capital Building, but now he faces many years in prison.
“If this is how they want to treat their visitors, their visitation rates will really suffer,” said Derrick.
“I’d recommend the US Capital Tours take a good, hard look at themselves and how they treat visitors”.
